Stage 3/15 – Departed early in the morning towards Yepes (S1:E5)

This morning I was up early. I spontaneously woke up around 5:30 am and jumped out of bed. I tried to speed it up a bit to cycle as many miles as possible out of the heat, but eventually it was already 7:00 AM when I got on the bike. And yet I had devised a system…

Cycling Adventure 15 (CA15) is my path of personal growth with which I want to inspire people to develop their own path of personal growth in this rapidly changing world.

I didn't know there was a fellow sufferer in the tiny hotel. Otherwise I could have talked with Antonio in more detail about his multi-day bike ride from Cádiz to Toledo near Madrid.

The sunrise was again fantastic to see. Especially when you see the sun appear in the distance behind the mountains. And the landscape brings peace. You will see fewer olive trees and more fields of wheat.

I myself have been on an organized cycling holiday a few times, but I have never seen such beautiful and quiet roads. I wonder if it isn't construction leave. Because you hardly meet anyone on those vast roads. The road surface is also well maintained or new. On my route I passed small villages where the mail is still delivered to home with a cart.

In the afternoon when the temperature climbs above 40 degrees, I suffer from heated feet. Fortunately, my good friend Sven, and also chairman (VZ) of our racing team, gave me the right socks to give me courage. In the meantime I have discovered that racing competitions can also be organized on Tuesdays in Spain. Again no people on the track. What do you think of VZ having a race here?

After 8 hours and 37 minutes on the bike I arrived in Yepes.
