Stage 2/15 – A beautiful day with a tough ride towards Brazatortas (S1:E4)

Up early this morning. My intention was to leave at 7 am, but that didn't really work out. I suddenly didn't have enough space to get all my stuff in my bags. I'm going to have to figure out a system for it.

Cycling Adventure 15 (CA15) is my path of personal growth with which I want to inspire people to develop their own path of personal growth in this rapidly changing world.

The ride first took me past the vast fields with numerous olive trees. You will only come across a village every 10 km on the way. At one point on one of the side roads I was surprised by a serious climb. It went up to 16%. Let's count: 87kg + 2kg (during my vacation) + 17kg luggage = 106kg. What wattage do I have to pedal to get to the top and where is my limit? In the meantime I think I know and that it corresponds to a maximum 16% gradient.

After the trip along the olive trees I made a stop to buy a drink. A driver with his truck with fuel oil saw me and started asking questions. He was extremely interested and even suggested staying with him if needed. Such an acquaintance gives good courage to continue.

After the stop, the scenery in the Cordoba region was even more beautiful. Komoot mapped out the route along the Sierra de Cardeña Montoro Natural Park. You are happy to take the many climbing with it.

Frenchman Lachlan Morton is right. The last 30 km are the toughest. And certainly if there are no flat roads. But then there is always a reward. A refreshing dip in the pool.

After 9 hours and 15 minutes on the bike I arrived in Brazatortas. Tired but satisfied.
